Miharu: Masterful Low-Temperature Tonkatsu

Miharu (美はる) has earned a devoted following for its singular approach to tonkatsu. The secret lies in a meticulous two-part process: a slow fry at a low temperature, followed by a period of resting that gently steams the pork within its casing. Combined with very finely milled panko breadcrumbs, this technique results in a crust that is impossibly thin and light, and meat that is uniformly tender and packed with flavour. The kitchen uses high-quality, named pork breeds, ensuring a premium product from start to finish.

Diners consistently praise both the ロースかつ定食 (rosu katsu teishoku), noted for the sweet, clean flavour of its fat, and the ひれとんかつ定食 (hire tonkatsu teishoku), celebrated for its silky, lean texture.
