Steak Kaiseki Miyako Kasuga (ステーキ懐石都 春日) serves teppanyaki, with wagyu cooked on an iron griddle in front of you, as a French-leaning kaiseki course in private rooms. The setting is a 1,500-tsubo estate with gardens and genuine European antiques. After the main course, guests move to a separate garden-view salon for dessert. It was selected for Tabelog's Steak/Teppanyaki "Tabelog 100" in 2022, 2024 and 2025.

Reviewers almost unanimously praise the warm, well-coordinated service and the chefs, who explain each ingredient. Many rate the live abalone, steamed on lava stone and then finished on the griddle, above the steak. Other recurring favourites are the tender wagyu, the roast-beef starter, wagyu sushi, the warm petit French bread, tai-chazuke (sea bream over rice in broth) and garlic rice. Birthday plates and souvenir photos come up often. Families mention the children's courses and high chairs.

On the critical side, some diners find the dishes other than the main course plain. One regular says the courses and dessert choices have shrunk since prices rose. A one-star review called the food odd and the meat bland.

The listing puts lunch at ¥6,000–7,999 and dinner at ¥10,000–14,999. Reviews suggest dinner with drinks often runs higher. Between 2024 and 2026, reviewers paid around ¥7,500 for a loin-steak lunch and ¥8,200 for fillet. A winter lunch kaiseki with 60g fillet cost about ¥11,000, and the dinner course with abalone and 60g wagyu loin about ¥14,000. A spiny lobster kaiseki started at ¥17,900. A free-flow drinks plan with wine was ¥4,600, and oolong tea ¥660. On holidays, courses under ¥10,000 may not be offered.

For a special occasion, reviewers feel the room, service and abalone justify the cost. One estimates the same meal would cost 1.5 times as much in a big city. As an everyday steak dinner it is pricey for what is on the plate, and cost-performance scores are lukewarm.
