La Pierre Blanche Motomachi ten is a specialist chocolaterie in Kobe run by chef Tadashi Shiraiwa. The shop is particularly noted for its signature chocolate-coated cookies, the Pépit and the shell-shaped Coquille (コキーユ), which combine crisp biscuit with a layer of fine chocolate. Alongside these, the shop offers a large, frequently changing selection of bonbons, often highlighting single-origin chocolates, as well as a range of chocolate-centric baked goods.

Visitors consistently praise the texture and quality of the Pépit and Coquille cookies. The wide variety of individual bonbons is another major draw, as are other popular items like the rich brownies, small baked cakes, and the crunchy “Crispy” chocolate bar. Many reviewers note that the products offer surprisingly good value for a specialty chocolatier.

However, the experience can be inconsistent. Several guests have reported that the service is inattentive or unfriendly, with staff sometimes appearing brusque. A minority of reviewers also found some of the fruit-flavoured bonbons to be overly sweet.

As for prices, reviewers in recent years paid around ¥850 for a box of Pépit or Coquille cookies, ¥400 for a brownie, and about ¥300 for a single bonbon. A 10-piece box of truffles was noted at ¥2,500, while some chocolate bars start from around ¥1,500.
