Shinsaibashi-suji

Синсайбасисудзи

Merchants and shopkeepers have been established on Shinsaibashi‑suji since the 17th century, when a local merchant named Shinsai built a bridge connecting the new district with the Dōtonbori theatre area. Under the covered shopping arcade of Shinsaibashi‑suji, which is 600 meters long, there are more than 180 shops. These are mainly large international brands — Chanel, Leica and the Apple Store — interspersed with restaurants, bars and one museum.
