Turkish chef Ayhan runs this restaurant with his family, and his son works the döner grill. The menu is broad and home-style, the kind of Turkish cooking that is hard to find in Japan. The signature is hünkâr beğendi, listed as 大王のお気に入り ("the Sultan's favourite"): a smoky aubergine-and-cheese purée topped with lamb braised in tomato. The drinks list is deep, with several kinds of rakı. The restaurant was selected for Tabelog's Asian/Ethnic EAST "Tabelog 100" in 2024 and 2026.
Reviewers name the Sultan's favourite as the best dish again and again. Other dishes they mention often are imam bayıldı (cold stuffed aubergine), iskender kebab with tomato sauce and yoghurt, Hasan Paşa köfte (meatballs over potato purée), hummus and the house bread, which some groups kept reordering. First-timers are often advised to take the chef's-choice course. Turkish visitors in 2024–2026 called the cooking genuinely homelike, and most guests describe the family as warm and happy to explain the menu.
There are criticisms too. A few foreign reviewers in 2024 found one server cold and felt local guests were favoured. Two Turkish reviews from December 2022 describe being turned away. Some Japanese diners find the portions small and the prices about double those of a typical kebab shop. One guest found the iskender dry and underseasoned. The garlic is strong and lingers.
Dinner usually runs ¥5,000–6,000 per person. Reviewers in 2024–2026 paid around ¥1,330 for döner kebab, ¥1,180 for imam bayıldı, ¥1,680–1,720 for Hasan Paşa köfte, ¥980 for hummus and ¥340 per piece of bread. Efes beer cost about ¥900–950 and rakı ¥900–1,100. The course for two came to ¥7,900. The restaurant opens for dinner only, so there is no lunch.
Most reviewers consider it good value for the quality. One diner paid about ¥5,000 including two drinks. A few felt prices run around 30% high for the modest portions.
