A long-standing favourite in Zushi, moomoo's is celebrated for one thing: exceptional soft-serve ice cream. The secret is its base, made from fresh morning milk delivered from the local Sekiguchi Farm. This gives the ice cream a pronounced, clean milk flavour that guests praise for being rich yet surprisingly light and airy.
The signature Milk flavour is the undisputed star, but the shop keeps regulars coming back with a weekly rotating menu of seasonal specials. Past flavours that reviewers have enjoyed include blueberry, pumpkin, pear, honey-lemon, and black sesame. The friendly staff and approachable prices add to the welcoming atmosphere.
There are very few complaints. Some visitors note that the soft-serve melts quickly on hot days and that the limited seating can fill up during peak times, especially on summer weekends. However, queues tend to move quickly.
Reviewers in 2024–2026 consistently found moomoo's to be excellent value. A standard soft-serve cone or cup cost around ¥350–¥400, with mini cups available for about ¥280. For the quality of the ingredients and the inventive flavours, most considered it a bargain.
- Getting There: The shop is a 2-minute walk from the North Exit of Shin-Zushi Station or a 3-minute walk from the East Exit of JR Zushi Station.
- Booking: Walk-in only; reservations are not accepted.
- Payment: QR code payments (PayPay, d Barai) are accepted. Credit cards and electronic money are not. It is wise to carry some cash.
- Seating: There are 17 seats, including a small counter and outdoor benches.
