Nakajo (なか條) is a sushi institution in Yokohama, celebrated for sourcing an extraordinary calibre of 'pin' ingredients directly from Toyosu Market. This is where prize-winning tuna, rare varieties of sea urchin, and seasonal shellfish appear in a generous, fast-paced omakase. The focus is squarely on the pure, unadulterated flavour and aroma of world-class seafood, served in a dynamic succession of appetisers and over twenty pieces of nigiri.

Guests consistently praise the quality and variety of the offerings. Highlights often include multi-part showcases of maguro (tuna), from lean akami to fatty otoro; luxurious flights of different uni (sea urchin); and perfectly prepared kuruma ebi (prawn). The chef's thoughtful use of different vinegared rice (shari) to complement specific toppings is also frequently noted. For the sheer quality and volume of what is served, many reviewers consider Nakajo to offer outstanding value, especially when compared to similarly-stocked counters in Tokyo.

However, first-time visitors should be aware of the chef's direct and sometimes brusque service style. Multiple reviews mention preferential treatment for regulars and a territorial atmosphere, with some guests feeling sidelined or even scolded for using their phones. A few also find the seasoning (soy sauce, tare, and red vinegar) to be assertive. The experience is intensely food-focused, with hospitality taking a back seat.

A typical dinner is in the ¥60,000–¥79,999 range. Reviewers have recently reported paying around ¥30,000 for a smaller, nigiri-focused omakase, with most full omakase experiences costing between ¥40,000 and ¥45,000. With drinks, tabs can exceed ¥50,000.
