Якусидзи
Nara (50 kilometers) is one of the country's oldest cities and was the capital of Japan from 710 to 784. Eight sites here are inscribed as UNESCO World Heritage: Buddhist temples such as Tōdai-ji, which is the largest wooden structure in the world, Kōfuku-ji, Gangō-ji, Yakushi-ji and Tōshōdai-ji; the Shinto shrine Kasuga-taisha; Heijō Palace; and the Kasuga natural park.
