Seabura no Kami Mibu honten (セアブラノ神 壬生本店) has earned a cult following for its signature ramen, which marries two powerful ingredients: seabura (rendered pork back-fat) and niboshi (dried sardine stock). The result is a broth that is intensely rich and savoury, yet surprisingly clean and balanced, avoiding the heaviness that can sometimes overwhelm such bowls. The shop also offers customization, allowing diners to choose their noodle thickness and the style of their pork chashu topping (braised or rare).

Guests consistently praise the deep, fish-forward flavour of the soup, which pairs perfectly with the thick, chewy noodles. The generous portions of pork are another highlight. Beyond the classic ramen, the tsukemen (dipping noodles) and creative monthly specials are frequently mentioned as memorable. Many international visitors have called it one of their best ramen experiences in Japan, thanks to the potent flavours and efficient service.

While overwhelmingly popular, a minority of diners find the broth too fatty or salty towards the end of the meal. A few sporadic comments also mention variability between visits or staff who seemed brusque, though this does not appear to be a common issue.

The value is considered excellent. Reviewers recently paid around ¥1,030–¥1,150 for the signature Seabura Niboshi Soba, or ¥1,380 for the 'tokusei' version with extra toppings. Tsukemen dipping noodles are around ¥1,080. A popular side of 'seabura-isu' (back-fat rice) costs about ¥280. Expect to spend up to ¥1,000 for lunch and ¥1,000–¥1,999 for dinner.
