This grill specialises in Tarama beef, wagyu from a small island near Miyako. One reviewer believes it is the only restaurant serving it. You choose your cut from a blackboard priced per 100g. The beef is grilled as a whole block, rested, carved at the table and seasoned with nothing more than salt, pepper and wasabi. Tabelog selected it for its Steak/Teppanyaki WEST "Tabelog 100" list in 2024 and 2025.

Most reviewers praise the precise, rosy medium-rare. The Chateaubriand comes up again and again, and one repeat visitor calls it "drinkable". The tomosankaku (tri-tip), marushin (lean round) and fillet are also well liked. The sides earn steady praise too: the raw mushroom and rocket salad, the beef curry, the house corned beef and the hamburg steak (a Japanese-style beef patty). Many mention a strong, mostly Californian wine list and warm service.

Complaints centre on the set course. Several diners got a tough, lean cut, and some found the portions small for the price. Other reviewers report:

  • staff not asking how they wanted their steak cooked
  • slow or clumsy service, mostly in older reviews
  • a dirty washbasin
  • a ¥1,000 birthday plate that felt like poor value

One Japanese reviewer found that the cattle were born on Tarama but raised on the mainland. One Chinese-speaking couple felt brushed off.

There is no lunch service. Dinner usually runs ¥10,000–15,000 per person. Between 2024 and 2026, reviewers paid:

  • set course: ¥11,500 in 2024, rising to ¥14,800 by 2026
  • Chateaubriand: ¥13,000 per 100g
  • rib roast: ¥7,500 per 100g
  • tomosankaku or marushin: around ¥6,500 per 100g
  • hamburg steak: ¥2,090
  • curry: ¥990

A couple sharing a bottle of wine paid about ¥32,000. It is expensive, but most reviewers felt the premium cuts justify the cost, and the sides are surprisingly cheap. The best approach is to order à la carte, share a couple of cuts and add curry or salads.

  • Getting there: there is no rail on Miyakojima. The restaurant recommends walking or taking a taxi.
  • Parking: none on site. Paid coin parking nearby can be hard to find in high season.
  • Booking: needed, so do not count on walking in. Phone 0980-79-7070 or 050-5890-9651.
  • Set course and cancellations: the set course must be pre-ordered. Reviewers report a cancellation fee of ¥7,500 per person, even the day before.
  • Children: families can book only the 18:00 seating and must leave by 20:00. Give your children's ages when booking. With infants or strollers, contact the restaurant before reserving, as suitable seating is limited.
  • Payment: Visa, Mastercard, JCB, AMEX and Diners are accepted. Electronic money and QR payments are not. There is a table charge of ¥500 per person.
  • Seating: 18 seats at tables, no private rooms. The whole venue can be hired for up to 20 people. After 20:00 it is quieter.
  • Smoking: entirely non-smoking.
  • Dress code: no swimsuits.
  • Ordering: steaks take 30–40 minutes, so order starters while you wait. The minimum is 200g per cut, which can be shared. Medium-rare is the default, so state your preference when ordering.
