Yunami makes its own fresh noodles in three styles: a thin whole-wheat noodle, a flat kishimen-like noodle and a rare yomogi (mugwort) noodle. All three come in a clear double broth of bonito and pork. Fresh fuuchiba (raw mugwort) is a free extra topping.
Nearly every review praises the broth. Diners describe it as light but deep, faintly sweet and never salty, and many drink it to the last drop. The meat comes next. The mixed soba (ミックスそば) carries sanmai-niku (braised pork belly), bone-in soki ribs and nankotsu soki (soft-cartilage ribs), all falling-apart tender. Many reviewers call it the best Okinawa soba they have eaten. The sides are well liked too: juushii (Okinawan seasoned rice), taco rice and the cold tsukemen. Staff are usually described as quick and kind.
The criticism is limited.
- Two diners found the yushi-dofu (soft tofu) topping sulphurous, and a regular advises first-timers to skip the tofu soba.
- Some found the meat sweet or a little dry.
- A few thought the bowl good but too ordinary to justify the queue.
- One detailed complaint mentions a slow ticket machine, a dusty counter wall, flies and unhelpful staff.
Reviewers in 2026 paid around ¥850 for sanmai-niku soba, ¥950 for nankotsu soki soba, ¥1,000 for soki soba, ¥1,050 for the mixed soba and ¥250 for juushii. Lunch and dinner typically cost under ¥1,000 per person. A bowl with a rice side comes to about ¥1,300. Soba with an extra topping, mozuku vinegar and a bottled beer came to just over ¥2,000. Reviewers consistently call it cheap for the quality, with generous meat and noodles.
- Getting there: about 650 m from Omoromachi Station (Yui Rail). It is walkable on the route down from Shurijo Castle and about 20 minutes' drive from Naha Airport.
- Booking: reservations are not accepted, so simply walk in. Lunch queues of 5–15 minutes are common. At busy times, write your name on the list at the door first.
- Ordering: by ticket machine, which has a Traditional Chinese option. Water is self-service.
- Payment: no credit cards. Cash is accepted, and so is electronic money (transport IC cards such as Suica, Rakuten Edy, nanaco, WAON, QUICPay). QR payments are accepted too (PayPay, d Barai, Rakuten Pay, au PAY, Alipay, WeChat Pay). There is no service charge.
- Seating: 50 seats at tables, the counter and in a tatami room. This suits families. There are no private rooms.
- Smoking: entirely non-smoking.
- Parking: available in front of and behind the shop, with an attendant. The lot is small and cramped. On weekends and holidays, the Yui Maru car park next door can also be used.
