Setsugekka Tanaka Satoru (雪月花 たなかさとる) elevates the yakiniku experience from a simple barbecue to a refined, multi-course tasting menu. Located in Nagoya's Sakae district, the restaurant focuses on curated courses of premium brand-name wagyu, such as Matsusaka or Kobe beef, served in a luxurious setting that feels more like a fine-dining establishment than a typical grill-it-yourself spot.

Guests consistently praise the exceptional quality of the meat. The star of the menu is often the Chateaubriand, served both grilled and as a decadent katsu-sando (cutlet sandwich). Other highlights include the beef yukke and consommé starters. The experience is enhanced by the setting: diners are seated in comfortable, semi-private booths, and many international visitors have noted the attentive and thoughtful service from the staff.

While most reviews are glowing, some guests have noted occasional inconsistencies. Service can sometimes feel rushed, and the booths are not entirely soundproof. A few diners expected staff to grill every piece of meat for them and were disappointed this wasn't the case. The richness of the later courses can also be overwhelming for some palates. Most international guests report positive experiences, though there is an isolated report of poor treatment.

Dinner is a splurge, but most feel it offers good value for a special occasion. Reviewers in 2024–2026 reported paying around ¥13,200 for the 'Yuki' course and ¥19,800 for the 'Hana' course. The famous Chateaubriand katsu-sando was noted by one reviewer at ¥12,000. The restaurant's listed typical spend is ¥10,000–¥14,999 per person.
