Ristorante Kubotsu (リストランテKubotsu) is a Hiramatsu-group ristorante on the 4th floor of Resola Tenjin. Its menu names the individual Kyushu farmers and fishers behind each dish. The meal is built around small rituals. Bread arrives with whipped butter, fresh-grated wasabi and grainy mustard, a pairing many guests say they had never tried before. Pasta comes separately from its plate, and you flip it out yourself. The plates are commissioned Karatsu ware, and the napkins sit in kumiko wooden-lattice holders. The restaurant was selected for the Tabelog Italian WEST "Tabelog 100" in 2021, 2023 and 2025.
The bread and butter are the most-praised item, with guests asking for third and fourth rolls. Desserts are the other highlight, especially the shiranui citrus parfait and the sakura meringue. Reviewers also single out the corn soup, the watermelon gazpacho poured at the table, the charcoal-grilled akaushi (red wagyu) beef and the wine pairings. Most describe warm, well-timed service and dishes served very hot.
A minority were less impressed. Complaints include an oversalted caviar pasta, overcooked fish, a few mild pastas and a sense that presentation sometimes comes ahead of flavour. Service can be patchy, with bread refills and water forgotten, and one guest reported a hostile staff member.
Reviewers in 2024–2026 paid around ¥6,215 for the weekday Gioia lunch and ¥8,079–8,701 for the six-course Cuore lunch. A three-glass wine pairing cost about ¥6,600, and a glass of champagne ¥2,200. With drinks, expect roughly ¥10,000–15,000 at lunch and ¥20,000–30,000 at dinner. A 13% service charge and 10% tax are added on top.
Lunch is widely considered excellent value for the number of courses and the quality, the weekday menu most of all. Dinner and the wine pairings draw more mixed verdicts on value.
