Menya Taiga does one thing: miso. The broth blends red and white miso over a pork, chicken and dried-fish base. Each bowl is topped with grated ginger, yuzu peel and aonori (green seaweed powder), and these shift the flavour as they dissolve into the soup. Alongside the standard bowl there is a jet-black squid-ink miso. Every guest gets a free shot of ginger juice before the ramen arrives. The shop has appeared in Tabelog's Ramen WEST "Tabelog 100" every year from 2022 to 2025.

Most reviewers praise the dense, aromatic broth and the springy, curly thick noodles. Many single out the smoky Noto-pork chashu, the ginger-yuzu lift and the ginger welcome drink. The spicy red miso, the black squid-ink miso and the miso tsukemen (dipping noodles) all draw repeat praise. Several diners came back a second time on the same trip.

Saltiness is the most frequent complaint: around five reviewers found the broth too salty, and some needed water to finish. A few thought it ordinary or overhyped. One diner felt rushed out at the counter, and another found the waiting area inside cramped.

Reviewers in 2024–2026 paid around ¥1,080 for miso ramen, ¥1,280 with a seasoned egg, ¥1,100 for the black miso, ¥380 for the Noto pork chashu rice bowl and ¥150 for plain rice. A typical spend is ¥1,000–1,999 at both lunch and dinner. Reviewers consider it good value: bowls and noodle portions are generous for standard ramen prices, and the ¥380 pork bowl is described as oversized.
