Chrysler (クライスラー) has been pouring drinks since 1950, and the room is the reason to climb its stairs. Almost every wall and much of the ceiling is lined with the owner's collection of vintage liquor bottles. Many are shaped like ornaments or folk figures, and they hang alongside old signs and coasters. Reviewers routinely compare it to a museum. It was selected for the Tabelog Bar 'Tabelog 100' in 2022.

Nearly every review praises the Shōwa atmosphere, where time seems to have stopped, and visitors writing in English and Chinese agree. The other draw is the house mix pizza. It is small, thin-crust and made to order with salami and mushroom, crisp and heavy on hot cheese. One regular suggests white pepper rather than Tabasco. The cocktails are textbook classics, such as martini, gimlet and gin and tonic, praised as clean and well balanced. Several reviewers mention a 1960s–80s jukebox, though reports differ on whether it still plays.

On the downside, smoking is allowed and some found the smell strong. The bartenders are taciturn and mostly leave you alone. One reviewer warned that anyone chasing top-tier craft cocktails may be underwhelmed. A regular noted that the snack list is shorter than it used to be.

There is no lunch service. In the evening most guests spend ¥2,000–5,000, and the listing's average is ¥3,000–3,999. Reviewers in 2024–2026 paid around ¥700 for a gin and tonic, ¥1,000 for the house Chrysler cocktail, ¥1,200 for a Blue Moon or Yokohama, ¥1,100 for a whisky mizuwari (whisky and water), ¥1,400 for the mix pizza and ¥500 for mixed nuts. There is no cover charge, so reviewers call it izakaya pricing for an authentic old bar. Stopping in for a single drink is perfectly reasonable.

  • Getting there: 8 minutes' walk from Keikyu Hinodecho Station, 9 minutes from JR Kannai Station, 12 minutes from JR Sakuragicho Station. The bar is up a steep staircase on the 2nd floor; look for the yellow sign.
  • Hours: 18:00–01:00, closed Wednesdays. One review also mentions closure on the third Thursday of the month.
  • Booking: reservations are not accepted, so just walk in. It can fill up around 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
  • Payment: cash only. Credit cards, electronic money and QR payments are not accepted.
  • Seats: 30, at the counter and on sofas. No private rooms and no private hire.
  • Smoking: allowed.
  • Photos: no photos of the interior. Photos of your own drink are fine.
  • Dress code: none.
  • Parking: none.
