Menba Rikiou (麺場 力皇) is the project of a former sumo and professional wrestler, and the ramen he serves is as powerful and hearty as his career suggests. Located in Tenri, Nara, the shop is famous for its large, satisfying bowls built around a deeply simmered but balanced tonkotsu (pork bone) broth. The space is decorated with signatures from the owner's wrestling days, reinforcing the unique identity of the place.

Diners consistently praise the signature "Rikiou Ramen" for its creamy, savoury broth that clings to the thick, chewy noodles. The standout feature for many, however, is the house-made chicken tsukune (meatballs), described as hot, juicy, and a perfect complement to the soup. Large slices of chashu pork and a topping of shredded raw onion and cabbage, which cuts through the richness, complete the much-loved bowl. For those seeking variety, the spicy miso "Musou" ramen and seafood-based options are also popular.

While the food earns rave reviews, visitors should be aware of operational quirks. Long queues, slow turnover, and early sell-outs are common. Reviewers frequently warn of unexpected temporary closures, so checking the shop's social media before heading out is essential. A few diners found the flavour profile or onion topping not to their taste, and parking can be tight.

Despite this, most consider it excellent value. Reviewers in 2024–2026 paid around ¥980–¥1,100 for the signature Rikiou Ramen, and ¥1,300–¥1,500 for the 'zenbu nose' (all toppings) version. The spicy 'Musou' ramen was around ¥1,200–¥1,500. A typical meal costs between ¥1,000 and ¥1,999.
