L'ETERRE offers a tightly staged French tasting menu in the style of a Japanese omakase. At an intimate eight-seat counter in Kagurazaka, chef Akira Tagome puts Japanese seafood front and centre, applying classic French technique and masterful control of fire — using charcoal and straw — to create uniquely pure and textural dishes. The fish is sourced from the celebrated Sasue Maeda in Yaizu, ensuring exceptional quality.

Guests consistently praise the fish-focused sequence of the meal and the live theatre of watching the chefs work. Dishes that draw frequent compliments include a hairy crab (毛蟹) tart and pasta, and various grilled fish like horse mackerel (鯵), Spanish mackerel (鰆), and splendid alfonsino (金目鯛). The experience concludes with a Japanese-style 〆 (shime) course, such as a risotto or pasta, followed by a series of impressive desserts. A warm financier, rich truffle chocolate, and a cheesecake made with 30-month-aged Comté are particular standouts. The wine pairings are also highly regarded.

While criticisms are rare, a few reviewers have found the sommelier's service to be brusque. Several note that drinks are expensive and can significantly increase the final bill. For the food and experience, most diners find L'ETERRE offers excellent value, though this perception can change if wine pairings drive up the cost.

Reviewers in 2024–2026 reported paying between ¥28,000 and ¥30,800 for the omakase course. The typical dinner spend is ¥30,000–¥39,999 per person, but with drinks, the total can easily reach ¥40,000 or more. One pair of diners reported a total bill of ¥83,000 including four alcoholic drinks.
